Reviews
Fantastic compact
camera by Charlie Chaplin (UK) I
bought my Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS just over a month ago and
so far have had some fabulous photos from it. An easy to use
camera, the zoom lens is great as is the macro. If you need
a small compact digital camera I can't rate it highly
enough. But it does need a bigger memory card from what it
comes supplied with.
Great Little Camera- nothing but
praise by Mr. N.C. Izzett (Lancashire,
UK) Excellent little
camera. Fits nicely into just about most pockets, and can be
whipped out in an instant to take excellent
shots.
It takes the shots quickly and
accurately, and comes with loads of great functions and modes.
To be honest i’ve probably got no need for them but it’s nice
to know that they’re there if needed. The face recognition is
great for taking shots of friends so that they’re the ones who
are in focus, not anything else. The image stabilizer is also
good, helping to prevent a blurry image. It’s hard to tell when
it’s in use but so far every image has been
perfect. Screen is huge and crystal
clear, and also doesn’t reflect the glare too much so the
screen is easy to see on sunny
days.Menu and controls are
incredibly simple to use, nothing unnecessary and
complicated like bigger cameras. The ZoomBrowser
application provided for your computer is great for
viewing and editing your pictures. I’ve used previous
versions for years, even when I didn’t have a camera,
just to view pictures in My Documents. It also comes with
some other photo editing applications, such as
PhotoStitch which does an excellent job of stitching
together many shots. No complaints, no
regrets, and excellent value for
money.
